HP, Inc. acquired Teradici, bringing two of the most well-respected high-performance display protocols under one roof. Here at Leostream, we’re excited about the potential this brings to organizations who want to provide “remote access for all” using the ideal display protocol for each use case.
The two display protocol power houses are finalizing an integrated subscription model, but what about integrated management and end-user experience? That’s where Leostream can help! The Leostream Connection Broker integrates with a variety of hosting platforms, from on-premises hardware and virtualization to public clouds. That means you can inventory, power control, provision, and assign desktops to users across all your platforms, all in one place. No more searching for the right management portal when you need to reboot a user’s machine. You can do it all within Leostream.
But, say you have different IT teams who manage your workstations vs your cloud-hosted machines. No problem! With Leostream, you define roles that delegate administrative access to only the desktops, features, and functionality specific users have permission to view and use. Again, single portal for everyone, with privileged access controls to define what they see.
Plus, you have a single pane of glass for controlling, monitoring, and tracking access across all your environments. Plans, policies, and locations in Leostream give you fine grain control over end-user sessions, defining who has access to what, from where, and for how long. The Leostream Agent then helps the Leostream Connection Broker track the users’ sessions so you know exactly when users log in, disconnect, log out, or even go idle.
Speaking of plans, Leostream Protocol Plans help you to specify which users connect using HP ZCentral Remote Boost, Teradici PCoIP (Cloud Access Software and Remote Workstation Cards, by the way), or any of the other display protocols Leostream supports. Save money by leveraging high-performance display protocols only where they are needed, then default to RDP or an HTML5 connection using the Leostream Gateway, for users with tasks that don’t require as much performance.

Simplifying IT is great, but unhappy end users can tank any initiative. Leostream can help here, too! Users logging into the Leostream Web client can launch connections to any of their hosted resources, from any location, using any of your preferred protocols. The desktops you offer to a user when they log into Leostream can mix and match Remote Boost, PCoIP, RDP, or any other display protocol you may want to use.
Do you have remote users or do you host machines in a private cloud? Again, Leostream has you covered, directing connections to workstation using Remote Boost through the Leostream Gateway, while sending connections to machines running the Cloud Access Software through the Teradici Security Gateway. Your users will never know, nor should they care, which gateway they used.
Login once; get access to everything; connect however you need. And, did we mention that you can secure that login using any MFA provider that supports RADIUS or SAML?
