What is the Leostream Connection Broker?

The Leostream Connection Broker is a vendor-independent connection management platform. It manages the connection of end users to their desktops and applications in on-premises data centers, in the cloud, and across hybrid environments. IT administrators use the Leostream Connection Broker deploy and manage desktops, as well as establish access control rules, all from a single-pane-of-glass interface.

Modernized User Interface

With an eye towards modernization, we revamped everything from the Sign In page, through each form and table, to the end-user Web client. We even made end-user facing pages completely customizeable, so you can add your corporate brand where it matters most! 

With our new licensing scheme, we can trim down the user interface so you only see the functionality you need, making the Connection Broker easier to configure. 

 

Provision Desktops at Scale in the Cloud

With our new cloud-focused provisioning algorithm, large batches of virtual machines can be provisioned simultaneously at lightning speed in AWS, Azure, and VMware environments. This is ideal for building large pools of desktops, such as in classroom environments. 

Additional enhancements include time-of-day specific provisioning and simple, on-demand provisioning, and advanced image management including creating and deleting images.

Improvements to Leostream Gateway

Our Leostream Gateway, a critical component of the Leostream 9 platform, includes updated support for HTML5 based connections, as well as high-performance protocols such as RGS and Mechdyne TGX. 

New protocols enable additional use cases, particularly for connecting users to high-performance virtual workstations and Linux VMs, and expands the usability of Leostream in cloud environments and for remote users.

 

Multi-Cloud Management Enhancements

We built out our support for cloud environments, such as OpenStack, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to help support a multi-cloud environment for our users. Many of the enhancement center around giving you more flexibility when provisioning new instances, as well as a dedicated tab to list the images that you have available for provisioning.
