Software Engineer

Position Summary
Seeking experienced Software Engineer to work as a core member of Leostream's Connection Broker engineering team. At Leostream, Software Engineers participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and technical support. Our engineers regularly engage with customers, partners, and sales staff on fast-moving projects that become mission-critical systems for large organizations. Candidates should possess a strong analysis and design background.

Qualifications
  • Experience with virtualization products from VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft.
  • Experience with Active Directory, eDirectory, and other LDAP tools.
  • Experience with advanced networking technologies and tools from leading vendors, including load balancers, routers, proxies, VPNs, VLANs, and intelligent switches.
  • Experience with advanced storage technologies, including SANs, iSCSI, NFS, and "streaming" disk products.
  • Experience with remote computing devices and protocols, especially RDP, but possibly including Radmin, VNC, HP's RGS, and Sun's Sun Ray, and various thin client devices.
  • Familiarity with standard group programming tools, including source code control, shared libraries and frameworks, bug tracking software, desktop sharing and conferencing tools, QA automation tools, and technical support ticket systems.
  • Enjoy working in a highly collaborative, dynamic, startup environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Additional Qualifications for Linux Developers
  • Experience developing large-scale, sophisticated Perl and web applications on a Linux-Apache-SQL-Perl stack.
  • Experience with database APIs, HTML/Javascript, and SOAP/XML.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ desirable.
Additional Qualifications for Windows Developers
  • Knowledge of C/C++ required.
  • Experience with COM, MFC, Windows 32/64 bit OS’s, threading models, and networking API.
  • GUI design and implementation experience desirable.
  • Excellent object-oriented design and implementation skills.
  • Experience with HTTP and XML/SOAP desirable.
  • Experience with smart card and biometric technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of .NET and C# desirable.
